Beginner training plan
Your first lessonFirst, we go over form for the basic knees, kicks, and punches.
Lesson 11+More pads! And then polishing all the techniques which have been taught this far. Elbows may introduced a well as "clinch" techniques involving grappling and knees.
Lesson 4-10We will always continue hitting pads to augment power and cardio/stamina and then possibly delve into defensive techniques.
Lesson 2-3Once you've gotten a better understanding of the techniques employed, we start hitting the pads to cultivate the techniques.

Youth players
Working with kidsPatience is key and each child is approached differently depending on their athleticism and willingness to learn.

Working with teenagersPretty much the same approach as with the kids.

I wanted to find an effective martial art to get into for my daughter and I. I'm 47 and my daughter is 21 and we both could stand to lose a bit a weight but wanted to do it through either boxing or kickboxing. Some guy friends of mine who trained in Muay Thai told me that this martial art would be perfect. And boy, were they right! We both love the workout and have gained immense confidence because of being fitter and acquiring new skills! I guarantee you'll love this workout!

I was connected with a Ed from a friend about 2 years ago and wanted to try a combat sport. I'm a Crossfit "junkie" so I was already in pretty good shape. After doing some rounds on the "Thai" pads with Ed, I've found something that I can apply my good fitness to! It's such an amazing stress reliever -- punching, kicking, kneeing, and elbowing the pads! It's pricey but damn well worth it! I mean, what other sport are you getting fit while learning an effective self-defense?

I was tentative at first to take up Muay Thai because it seemed like most fighters were "a-holes" full of bravado but after meeting Ed I totally changed my mind! I'm not an "alpha-male" by any means but wanted to take up a physically challenging workout and self-defense system. This is it! Also, it may see expensive but then again, what is your health, safety, and peace of mind worth?

I'm in my 50s and used to box in my 20s. I decided to give the art of Muay Thai a try, and wow! It's definitely more difficult because of the involvement of the legs, but I lost an amazing 28 lbs in the last year training with him! Of course, I altered my diet too but this workout is amazing! 35-40 min on the pads and burned a whopping 650 calories!

Ed is meticulous when showing and explaining techniques such as the knees, kicks and elbows. What a great workout while also learning an effective self-defense!
