We’ll discuss your modeling goals and vision, experience, strengths, and what you want to get out of pursuing modeling. Then we’ll cover foundational industry knowledge, confidence, posture, body awareness, and your natural look on camera. We’ll also identify the types/categories of modeling that may fit you best and create a personalized plan for what to work on.
We’ll focus on posing, facial expressions, angles, and movement in front of the camera. I’ll teach you how to create different shapes with your body, transition naturally between poses, find your best angles, and avoid looking stiff. We’ll practice posing drills and review photos together so you can see what translates well on camera.
We’ll bring everything together with runway/walking practice, posing, and a mock photoshoot or casting. We’ll work on entering a room confidently, introducing yourself, taking direction, moving naturally, and creating a variety of usable looks. We’ll finish with personalized feedback and next steps for building your portfolio, digitals, castings, and professional modeling opportunities.
Drills include: the 5-pose flow where you’d move continuously without stopping, expression ladder from neutral → soft → confident → commercial smile, angle drill turning the face/body in small increments to learn what photographs best, walk-stop-pose-turn drill, and a mock casting introduction where they practice their name, bio atats, slate, walk, and taking direction. This is a necessary step in in-person auditioning/castings.
