Beginner training plan
Your first lessonOpening with a light workout to get warmed up, We will move around and hit some pads with 0 expectation. This will be done to gauge where skill level and natural affluence put our starting point. We will then delve directly into basics and introductory level technique. Light exercise to get a sweat and ending with a cooldown stretch.
Lesson 11+Remaining lessons will be on furthering your knowledge and affinity for the art! Learning more advanced footwork, combinations, feints, tips and tricks, with opportunity to grow into a competing athlete being a possibility if interested!
Lesson 4-10Beginners can expect to feel more comfortable moving around in a stance, feeling some speed with their hands and overall enjoying a different style of working out. Practices will continue as they were for 2-3, introducing more as we go. Once familiarity with punching grows, we will work in more realistic movement, as well as moving in combinations and setting up your combos. Beginning and finishing the same, warming up and then getting a good sweat going and then a cooldown.
Lesson 2-3Opening with warmups, then taking A deeper dive into the fundamentals, with introduction of more advanced concepts. Development of the fundamentals is crucial for these, so practicing the basics of form, movement, and defense will be prioritized. Light exercise to get a sweat going followed by a cooldown to finish class.

How it works
Your first lesson
First lesson we will get a look at your boxing. We will evaluate level, expectations you have for your training, and what your goals with boxing are. Will start with warming up, followed by some conditioning. After, we will work technique until we hit another round of conditioning, a cooldown, and if time allows, a post-practice sit down where we talk about what you feel you need to work on, as well as anything I may have noticed throughout your training.
Lesson 11+Practices will sustain this new structure, growing and expanding into different areas as classes go on. This could include delving deeper into any of the previously mentioned subcategories, working different styles or stances, and even further into cornering for competing athletes or into competing for noncompeting athletes.
Lesson 4-10Practices will maintain this structure until a feel for the athletes style is established. Once style is being taken into account, more personalized sessions will begin. This could include prioritization on footwork, breathing, conditioning, head movement, stance or even deeper with personalized nutrition and strength and conditioning programs from a certified coach.
Lesson 2-3Second and third lessons will reflect a lot of the first, starting and finishing the same as well as focusing on conditioning and technique. Practices will account for each athletes prior trainings, and will accommodate to physical limitation by adjusting with more technical or shorter classes depending on athletes state.

Youth players
Working with kidsI work for more engagement, allowing for growth and learning to happen in a team setting with their teammates! Asking questions and getting them thinking about different concepts and processes, as well as introducing different life lessons this sport can teach!

Working with teenagersI adapt my lessons by offering a little bit more autonomy than I would with the youth classes, while still encouraging engagement through asking questions and introducing life lessons. I encourage growth by challenging limiting beliefs about themselves, while offering self affirming alternatives to encourage patience, confidence and graciousness with themselves while they learn a new pursuit.

What you need to bringFunctional workout clothes and shoes, a mouthguard, cup (male students), any personal equipment I.e. gloves, hand wraps etc
