I’ve learned so much since meeting Thu about music theory and finger picking. He’s really relaxed and flexible during our lessons, and follows my lead in terms of my musical interests. He’s encouraging and super funny. And he’s always there for me — whether I send him a text or a song idea, he replies instantly and puts in extra time to support me. I’m so glad to have Thu as my teacher.

Working with Thu has been such a pleasure. Thu constantly makes working on the guitar fun and exciting, always going above and beyond to make sure we are working on something engaging. He does an amazing job creating a friendly and comfortable environment, where I do not feel stressed about progress and just get to enjoy the pleasures of learning guitar. Thu is a really thoughtful teacher, and clearly puts a lot of care into his lessons. I would recommend working with Thu to anyone looking for guitar lessons.

We feel so lucky to have found Thu to teach guitar to our 11-year old daughter! She absolutely LOVES her lessons and we are just blown away by her progress. Our daughter has repeatedly comments on how “amazing” and “cool” Thu is. He even sends personalized videos to help her work on her songs. She’s incredibly motivated, and I’m sure that’s in no small part because of Thu’s approach and teaching!

Getting to learn with Thu was an amazing experience: the way he approaches instruction almost feels holistic. He’s able to meet you where you’re at, cater what he’s teaching you to your learning style, and make sure that it’s fun along the way. The lessons feel like an ongoing conversation around your musical growth and it’s so energizing and so motivating. Thu is really generous in the way he teaches and he is absolutely unmatched.
