Beginner training plan
Your first lessonOverview of guitar basics, a couple of theory concepts, quick jam to hear where they’re at, ask about their goals. Keep talking minimal, encourage them to talk and play.
Lesson 11+By now they’re getting good. Challenge them just enough, introduce performance pieces they’ve memorized, and refine technique while expanding their repertoire.
Lesson 4-10Continue building skills with songs, exercises, and improvisation. Keep lessons engaging, adjust to their pace, and focus on keeping motivation high.
Lesson 2-3Check their practice, expand on exercises, chords, and a lick or two. More jamming as comfort grows.
