Educator with a Bachelor's Degree in Education and six years of teaching experience, specializing in music. With a rich background spanning 18 years of multi-instrumental experience and eight years of classical training, I bring a wealth of musical knowledge to the table.
Each student under my guidance receives an Individualized Education Plan crafted to suit their unique learning style and goals. I cover a broad spectrum of genres, including rock, pop, country, folk, and bluegrass, ensuring a well-rounded musical education.
My teaching philosophy heavily emphasizes ear training, mastery of the Nashville Number system, harmony, and soloing techniques. With me, you'll learn to play music and understand it deeply.

A rusty guitar player like me searched for and found a teacher I couldn’t be happier to discover. Some people are gifted with not only musical talent for playing but also talent for teaching. That’s Craig. He knows his stuff and how to teach a wide range of music and genres. He’s professional, personable, and encouraging. His laid-back personality enables you to feel comfortable and confident. Plus, Craig maintains positive vibes while building a genuine relationship with his students. He likes to discover what inspires you and uses that fuel to motivate you musically and creatively. I feel good after every lesson. I’d give him 6 stars out of 5.

Our son is taking guitar lessons with Craig and we are super excited for him to have the opportunity to learn to play an instrument. These have been both in person and virtual. The virtual lessons are great for us and have worked with our busy schedule. Our son is only in 1st grade so his attention span is not very long. Craig is very patient with him and the lessons are just the right amount of time. Craig has been very encouraging with Ben and we are very pleased with his lessons. Would definitely recommend to anyone interested!!!

My daughter started out taking ukulele and is now taking guitar with Craig Henson and I would one hundred percent recommend him for music lessons. Craig is very patient and always encouraging and cheering her on. My daughter has been able to learn so much and has progressed in her love and skill of playing music. Craig Henson is a profound music teacher with the skills to equip anyone wether you are just a beginner or have been in music for awhile. He’s the man for the job.
