I have been learning from Grey for a few months now, and have been very satisfied with our lessons. Grey is not only an incredibly knowledgeable teacher, but a super down to earth guy who always makes lessons fun. As a beginner who learned guitar in college, and now after 3-4 years of being self taught, I found Grey to be amazing at bridging the gap between music theory and practical-playing application. Our lessons are short, but I feel because they are in-person we are able to cover a lot rather than being virtual. Grey has also been great at leaving me with good weekly practice objectives, with personal notes to help me keep track of them, and always leaving me inspired when I leave his studio. Would definitely recommend Grey to anyone looking to learn music theory, to better understand the structure of your favorite songs/genres, and to improve your ability to write and create your own music.

Grey is awesome! I corrected a lot basic skills in his session, like the correct moving of right hand thumb and how to play with pick. But I've not only learned to play guitar, I also learned to know guitar in a deeper way. I started to memorize the fretboard. Instead of just play with the tab, now I know what I'm playing and understand the music much better. His class covers ear training and improvisation as well. In his tutorials, I made huge improvement and now feel even more passionate on playing guitar!

I first saw Grey teach when he visited my class at Berklee as a guest lecturer, since then I’ve been into his videos online. I was amazed by his fluent Mandarin and teaching style. Even though I'm a piano player, I learned a lot about music theory and guitar techniques. Grey is the best guitar teacher ever that you don't want to miss. Highly recommend!
