Hello! My name is Forrester Stearns. I am a 26 year old guitarist who has been playing guitar for the last 10 years. I learned how to play guitar from my dad’s best friend Warren Mason. Warren lived in Aberdeen Washington and funny enough taught Kurt Cobain how to play guitar in the early 80’s. He passed away, and I continued my musical education with Vernon Ice Black a renowned session player who played with countless groups such as Booker T and the MG’s, Herbie Hancock, Mariah Carrie, etc. I absorbed both of their unique styles and am looking forward to sharing their knowledge with you!

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonAssuming you’ve never touched a guitar before, your first lesson will be all about the basics. If you’re more advanced we’ll skip to the good stuff immediately!
Lesson 11+After 11+ lessons we’ll keep refining your skills. Guitar works in a way where you’re always learning and you’ll never stop exploring and expanding your knowledge
Lesson 4-10In these lessons we’ll get into solo’s
Lesson 2-3We’re going to learn some of your favorite songs and play them together!
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonFor advanced students, we’ll get into creativity. How to think differently, get out of old habits.
Lesson 11+It’s really all dependent on the player.
Lesson 4-10I’d say the same thing as above.
Lesson 2-3It all depends on the student. The truth is there’s really no set definition of what someone needs if they’re advanced in their 2nd to 3rd lesson
Youth players
Working with kidsWith kids it’s all about getting them excited about music. I’ll ask them what kind of music they like and go from there!
Working with teenagersI started playing in my late teens and I think that’s the perfect time to really get into an instrument. For teenagers I’ll ask them what kind of music they like, show them some songs that I learned when I first started playing guitar and then they’ll be off to the races!
