Emmett took my playing and knowledge to a completely different level. He would make personalized lesson plans and he would thoroughly break down what was going on in a certain piece of music and then find other separate pieces that shared similarities with what he was teaching. I like his method of teaching by using actual music and it makes the learning process much easier once you start to see all the similarities between different pieces of music.
