Music is my lifelong passion, and sharing that passion as a guitar instructor for 30 years brings me immense joy. Having performed professionally, I bring a unique perspective and deep understanding of musical theory and technique to each lesson. I'm dedicated to fostering a fun and supportive learning environment where students of all levels can thrive. I have performed live in many bands all over the world since I was 21 years old. I have had the honor of being signed to Relapse Records and Wiilowtip records as well as many other labels in the extreme metal community. I specialized in heavy music for a long time but I am fluent in all genres of music as well,including folk,jazz, classical,rock, blues,funk,punk rock,new wave,pop,ska,hardcore,swing,avant garde,progressive,technical, contemporary,ambient,hip hop and experimental. I enjoy teaching everything from scales,chords, rhythm,melody,phrasing, transition,picking,finger placement,fretboard memory,fast runs,chord groups,major,minor, pentatonic,mixolydian,aeolian,diminished,phrygian,locrian,Dorian,and many more. I also like to focus on figuring out composition by ear,for example learning your favorite artists songs and development of your own styles while drawing from your influence or whatever you are wanting to play. Whether you are a beginner or advanced I will work at your pace. I can give you the tools to becoming a better musician and playing to your full potential.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonFirst lesson for beginners will be how to properly sit and hold your guitar comfortably and placement of your picking hand and fretting hand. Then we will work on being familiar with making a sound and the correlation between your left and right hand. Intermediate students will be taught a series of chords scales and fluent understanding of the entire neck as well as focus on development of technical abilities Advanced players will be taught modal placement and melodic phrasing,relevant key transitions and writing original composition through aesthetics and improvisation as well as alternate picking; arpeggios and unorthodox styles such as speed picking,dexterity, odd meters and random time signatures.
Lesson 11+Same as 4 -10
Lesson 4-10You will by this point decide whether you want to continue and whether or not you have exceeded your potential or if you need more instruction I will be happy to continue. Like I always say it depends on your desire to learn and progress which will determine what you wish to get accomplished from this. I am not very strict and happy to teach everything I know

What I can bringI prefer to start on acoustic I play a Fender Gemini 1 nylon string but I also have electric guitars ranging from a schecter diamond series to a fender squier affinity series through a fender combo amp
