Beginner training plan
Your first lessonThe first lesson is usually consisted of finding out how much the player knows about golf and their skill level. Some first time players have a more advanced swing than others but in all the first lesson will be consisted of weight distribution. (Keeping weight on your leading leg throughout the entire swing)
Lesson 11+Majority of further lessons will be a lot of the same things. Weight distribution, swing mechanics, and contact. It will seem repetitive but trust the process. I like to do playing lessons about every 3 months to see your improvement on the course and to work on the mental side of the game. Typically we will only play 9 holes due to daylight and schedules.
Lesson 4-10Lessons 4-10 will become more tedious, working on contact and swing mechanics can become frustrating for beginners.
Lesson 2-3Lessons 2/3 will be getting more in depth of weight distribution/ transfer. (Loading power into your back leg and releasing power into the front leg)
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonFirst lesson for advanced players will consist of us finding weaknesses in your game. And planning out a lesson log on what steps to take in order to improve. Minor swing work will be done on the range.
Lesson 11+Lessons 11 and on are up to the player and where they feel they are lacking on the golf course. We will play each lesson by ear and work on what the player wants to improve on.
Lesson 4-10Lessons 4-10 will be a mix of playing and practice. Working on your mental strength on the course and course management. Finding what yardages you should improve from, and working on green reading abilities.
Lesson 2-3Lessons 2/3 will be starting that lesson plan. Finding drills for you to work on your own time and dissecting your swing.
Youth players
Working with kidsWorking with kids is a great way to test your patience. Typically I like to make games out of the lessons. (Bowling, closest to the pin, longest drives) For majority of kids just being out in the grass and having fun is all they need to start their love for the game.
Working with teenagersTeenagers as an ex high school golfer I assume you are either on the high school golf team or want to be. We will do a skill test for the first lesson and go from there. Whether that is playing 9 holes or hitting on the range is completely up to you.
What you need to bringBring a smile and a go get em attitude.
What I can bringI am able to bring all training aids needed for the lesson. Along with right handed clubs, balls, and tees.
