I keep the first lesson simple and low-pressure. Start by learning goals and experience, then cover grip, stance, and posture. Introduce a basic, smooth swing with short shots to build contact and confidence.
Lesson 11 We transition to the course, playing a full 18-hole round together while coaching in real time. I’ll guide decision-making and course management, while working through driver, irons, and short game situations as they come up on the course.
After that we will keep working on drills to add consistency.
In lessons 4–10, the focus shifts heavily to scoring. You’ll develop your short game—chipping, pitching, bunker basics, and putting from different distances. Full swing work becomes more about consistency, contact, and simple shots rather than big changes. You’ll also start learning course management (how to think your way around the course) and begin playing more holes. The goal is to turn decent swings into lower scores through better control around the greens.
In lessons 2–3, beginners usually start building consistency. You’ll work on a repeatable swing, better ball contact, and simple shot control (like direction and small distance changes). There’s more time hitting real shots and less focus on setup basics. You will start learning how to practice on your own so improvement continues outside lessons.
