Beginner training plan
Your first lessonFor a beginner we will want to talk about how far the student wants to take the game. Physical limitations or restrictions if any (for safety) Lastly the first lessons begin with an assessment of any knowledge or ability the new student has in golf and if none then we start with grip, stance, turn, balance and probably laughing a bit. Lesson 2-3After the first lesson a game plan will be created to make certain the student gets solid results that are retainable and fun. Able to be carried to private practice time and play on the course. This includes further fundamentals of the game. Tee to green, green to tee. Short game, putting and continuous assessment to recognize and tailor the instruction plan to the students body, ability, and drive.
Lesson 4-10After the first few lessons we will begin to look at equipment and practice time away from lessons. It is time to have a small conversation about course management only to explain the necessity for 14 clubs and thus moving into using them appropriately. Asking about non lesson practice time and if allowable do to student schedules creating a drilling plan to increase skill level with basic fundamentals
Lesson 11+If we make it to 11+ lessons then we have a person driven to grow their skill in the game of golf. At this point fundamentals continue to be reinforced as well as the more advanced parts of golf such as ball flight laws, club loft and lie. Golf rules will be added to from previous lessons. Swing path will be added to. Trust me it will already be fun but at this point it gets really fun.
