About your golf coach
I'm the athletic director at the local high school in Atascadero, but golf has always been a major part of my life. I've played competitively since I was 12, even qualifying for the US Open twice! I've learned from some of the best instructors in the world, so I understand proper mechanics and teaching techniques. Although my current job and family life keep me busy, I'm passionate about giving back to the game. I'm excited to share my knowledge and experience with others, even if it's not through direct instruction. Let's connect and see how I can help you improve your golf game!

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonLet’s take a look at the body limitations, basic foundations of the swing and start small. Can’t run before you walk.
Lesson 11+Expect to have direct items of concentration to where we dive in on what has worked and what doesn’t. Learning how to get away with misses and accepting them, implement these on the course.
Lesson 4-10Prepare to have specifics to work on, focus on areas that separate beginnings to intermediate players. Start to progress into hitting shots, rather than just trying to hit the ball.
Lesson 2-3We will build from lesson 1 and increase from entraining the fundamentals to start increasing speed somewhat. All depends on student progression.
Youth players
Working with teenagersChildren need specific, direct instruction that is clear and concise. Information overloading does not work with our youth, more or less anyone in reality. Developing a young golfer properly and early can send them on a successful path leading to great results.
