About your golf coach
If you’re looking for a golf instructor that understands the challenges that everyday golfers face then look no further. I have enjoyed playing and teaching golf for 20+ years and I want you to do the same. I lived in a small rural town when I began playing where there were no golf instructors. I had to dig it out of the dirt, literally. But I found success as I went on to play a few seasons on the scratch tours. I can understand your challenges because I’ve lived them. All of my endeavors lead me to where I am now. I am currently a Golf Digest Certified Instructor, FlightScope Professional, Swing Catalyst Certified Instructor and a NASM Golf Fitness Specialist. All of my lessons are taught using radar technology. I teach proven golf principles that have stood the test of time. I assure you that a lesson with me is world class!

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonYour first lesson begins with me learning about who you are as a golfer. You will learn more about who I am as an instructor and my teaching philosophies. This done while you warm up. The middle portion of the lesson begins with collecting data with golf radar and capturing swings on video. All of this information will be saved in your FlightScope student profile, permanently, and can be accessed at any time. I will perform a complete diagnostics and analysis on your ball flight and swing mechanics. The lesson concludes with a clear plan and description of drills for you to perform.
Lesson 11+Lessons at this stage are used to improve weaknesses in your game. We look specifically at driving, or iron play, or short game. We also expand your skills to shot making and other on course strategies.
Lesson 4-10Lesson 4 begins with a re-cap of everything covered up until this point in your development. Based on your feedback, we will adjust the plan if need be. If you understand and are progressing satisfactorily then we will begin to expand your learning in chipping, pitching and putting.
Lesson 2-3Lesson 2 focuses on the fundamentals of grip, stance, posture and alignment. These fundamentals are crucial to the plan moving forward as they provide you the best opportunity to execute a sound golf swing. The lesson concludes with collecting more radar date and swing videos. Appropriate drills will be assigned for you to work between lesson 2 & 3.
Lesson 3 begins with collecting more radar data and swing videos. I will evaluate your progress in lesson 3 compared to the information collected in the previous 2 lessons. If you are satisfactory progressing then we will begin to move forward with swing mechanics. We start the swing mechanics with shaft awareness drills and noting key checkpoints at each phase of the swing. The lesson concludes with collecting radar data and swing videos with positive reinforcement. You will be given at home and on the range drills to work on your swing before lesson 4.
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonYour first lesson is spent collecting data radar data and swing videos for analysis. With advanced players, my goal is to help you become more efficient in weak areas of your game. An evaluation will be made at the conclusion of the lesson to identify what changes need to be made to your game.
Lesson 11+Lessons after this point is spent identifying your strengths and weaknesses. Plans are made to play away from weaknesses and play to your strengths. We also look at what types of holes suit your game the best that leads to more scoring. We also look at holes that don’t suit you well to help avoid being overly aggressive on areas of the golf course where you may not be comfortable.
Lesson 4-10Lesson 4 begins with establishing club distances and groupings with each club and each shot with each club. This is a detailed process and takes time to complete. The goal is to know as much as possible about each club in the bag by lesson 10 so that there is no guess work involved in planning shots throughout your rounds.
Lesson 2-3In lesson 2 we begin refining your mechanics in areas defined in lesson 1. The lesson concludes with collecting radar data and swing analysis to chart progress.
Lesson 3 we will expand into advanced shot making skills. Draws, fades, hi & lo shots. We will work on these skills with multiple clubs.
