Beginner training plan
Your first lessonGolf fundamentals; warm up stretching, grip, grip pressure, posture, stance, ball positioning, and start half-swing techniques. Usually students purchase a medium sized bucket of balls or less for lesson #1.
Lesson 2-3Recap lesson 1 & 2, and move on to 3/4 swing or full swing. If student feels confident, we club up in irons as we feel confident contacting golf balls at impact.
Lesson 4-10Move onto longer irons, hybrids, or fairway woods the driver golf clubs. Highlight difference in golf swing mechanics with longer golf clubs.
Lesson 11+Lesson 11+ is usually when my fresh beginner students can start playing par 3 golf courses if he or she feels ready! We will start to cover course management and play golf together. Coach’s round and student’s round is covered by the student.
What you need to bringOpen & good attitude to learn something new (golf), your golf bag, your golf clubs, your golf glove. Golf tees too if we are working on your driver.
What I can bringOne wedge, or one iron/hybrid club in advance! Please let me know what clubs you have and fill out my golf questionnaire before our first golf lesson.
