Advanced training plan
Your first lessonIn the first lesson, I focus on creating a clear foundation and removing the guesswork. I start by understanding the student’s goals, athletic background, and learning style. From there, we capture baseline data using simple movement screens and ball-flight observations. I introduce the core fundamentals—grip, posture, alignment, and basic swing motion—without overwhelming the student. The goal of Lesson 1 is confidence, comfort, and clarity. By the end of the session, the student leaves with 1–2 key focuses they can easily repeat and feel good about.
Lesson 11+Beyond Lesson 10, we shift into true development. These sessions are personalized to the student’s goals—whether they want to break 100, compete in junior tournaments, or simply enjoy golf more. We refine scoring skills, build shot versatility, introduce advanced techniques, and track measurable progress using data. Students learn how to practice efficiently, how to manage a round mentally, and how to strengthen their strengths, not just fix weaknesses. This stage is where beginners transform into confident, skilled golfers with a clear progression plan and long-term roadmap.
Lesson 4-10Lessons 4–10 take the student from “learning the basics” to “playing real golf.” During this phase, we develop a full swing that is repeatable under pressure, add structured short-game training, and introduce on-course decision-making. Students learn distance control, ball-striking fundamentals, how to shape and flight shots, and how to eliminate their biggest miss. This is also where I introduce strategic play—club selection, green reading, and scoring patterns. By Lesson 10, most students experience a major jump in confidence and results: cleaner contact, straighter shots, and the ability to play full holes independently.
Lesson 2-3In Lessons 2–3 we begin building real consistency. I refine the fundamentals introduced in Lesson 1 and start connecting the student’s body movement to the club’s motion. These sessions typically include simple drills that build solid contact, direction control, and early speed patterns. I introduce short-game basics and help the student understand how to practice with purpose. By the end of Lesson 3, the student should feel noticeably more coordinated, aware of their swing, and confident with their setup and contact.

Youth players
Working with kidsWhen I work with kids, I keep the lessons fun, energetic, and simple. I use games, challenges, and visual drills to help them understand the basics without feeling overwhelmed. Every session is focused on building confidence, coordination, and a love for the game. My goal is to create early success so kids stay excited about learning, while also teaching them proper fundamentals that will grow with them over time. I match the instruction to their attention span, celebrate their progress, and make golf something they look forward to every week.

Working with teenagersWith teenagers, I take a more structured and empowering approach. I treat them like developing athletes and give them clear goals, measurable progress, and real coaching feedback they can understand and apply immediately. We incorporate technique, speed development, course strategy, and mental performance in a way that builds confidence and accountability. I also make the lessons relatable—using technology, drills, and training plans that match their competitive goals, whether they’re preparing for high school golf, tournaments, or simply wanting to improve fast. Teens respond to challenge and ownership, and I coach them in a way that brings out the best version of their game.
