About your golf coach
Through his passion for golf and coaching, John has excelled as an accomplished instructor for two decades in the Ponte Vedra and Jacksonville area. John was instrumental in the start, development and growth of the McCumber Golf Academy at the University of North Florida in 2009. John, along with Josh McCumber, a collegiate All American and Tour Professional, developed the Academy to further enhance the North Florida golf community through the highest quality instruction. His understanding of the complexities of the golf swing, cause and effect and his talent for motivating students of all ages has consistently resulted in their improved performance. In 2013, John incorporated Berardi Golf at the Ponte Vedra Golf and Country Club at Sawgrass (now The Yards), realizing his lifelong goal of owning and running his own golf academy. That continues full circle now back teaching at the UNF Golfplex. John has a clear vision for mentoring young and old players alike, helping them meet their full potential and achieve their goals.
