Beginner training plan
Your first lessonGet to know the player and how their mind approaches the game physically and mentally. Check head position, stability, ball placement, any weaknesses, and shot preferences. Work with them to compromise on a swing that fits their style and make necessary adjustments.
Lesson 11+Fixing issues and slowly improving tiny aspects of their game to continually improve their shots and scores.
Lesson 4-10Resolve issues with previous adjustments. Develop a good long game with driver and longer irons. Help getting speed and distance while remaining in control. Develop a pre-shot routine along with a good tempo.
Lesson 2-3Same as above with focus on chipping and putting, putting drills (ladder, clock, 18 holes) are my go to. How to hit high, low, running, stopping chip shots designed for their level. Lots of time from 50-100 yards as most of scoring comes from these distances.
Youth players
Working with kidsThe goal is not to overload them with things to work on and instead create a positive fun environment so they will want to improve and look forward to getting better.
Working with teenagersAs I am one, I have a good understanding of how teenagers act and respond which will help me to teach them in a way that is beneficial to them.
What you need to bringGolf balls (upwards of 15 for chipping and putting), tees, their golf clubs, a towel (preferably damp)
What I can bringAlignment sticks, any necessary tool for that particular lesson.
