About your golf coach

I’m a former Division I golfer and professional player with years of experience working with golfers of all ages and skill levels. I currently coach at the high school level and enjoy helping people learn the game, build confidence, and improve at their own pace. My coaching style is relaxed, clear, and practical. I focus on fundamentals, simple adjustments, and helping golfers better understand their own swing and on-course decisions. Whether you’re brand new to golf, getting back into the game, or looking to improve consistency, lessons are tailored to what you need most and kept straightforward and enjoyable. I enjoy working with golfers who want to learn, ask questions, and improve in a positive, low-pressure environment. My goal is to make lessons useful, comfortable, and something you can immediately take with you onto the course.

Lesson 2-3Constant improvement

Advanced training plan
Your first lessonThe first lesson is all about comfort, clarity, and building a foundation. I start by getting to know the golfer — their goals, any past experience, and what they want to get out of the game. From there, we focus on a few simple fundamentals and avoid overwhelming details. I keep things relaxed and hands-on, using easy-to-understand cues and drills so the golfer can make solid contact and enjoy hitting the ball right away. We’ll spend time on setup, basic swing motion, and understanding how to practice between lessons. My goal for the first lesson is for beginners to leave feeling more confident, comfortable, and excited to keep playing.
Lesson 11+As lessons continue, the focus shifts toward making the game feel more comfortable and enjoyable. We keep building consistency, improving contact, and learning how to practice effectively without overthinking the swing. Golfers begin to understand their own tendencies, gain confidence using different clubs, and develop simple on-course strategies that help them play with less stress. Lessons stay flexible and are adjusted based on progress, goals, and what the golfer wants to work on. Over time, most beginners feel more confident stepping onto the course, know how to practice on their own, and have a solid foundation to keep improving and enjoying the game.
Lesson 4-10From lessons four through ten, the focus is on building consistency and confidence. We continue refining the fundamentals while helping the swing feel more natural and repeatable. At this stage, golfers usually start to see more solid contact and better control of direction. We’ll introduce different clubs, basic short-game skills, and simple on-course concepts like alignment, distance control, and decision-making. Lessons remain individualized, moving at a pace that matches the golfer’s comfort level. By lesson ten, most beginners have a clear understanding of how to practice, feel more confident on the range or course, and have a solid foundation to keep improving independently.
Lesson 2-3By the second and third lessons, we start building on the basics from the first session in a simple, steady way. We’ll review setup and ball contact, then gradually add more structure to the swing so it feels more natural and repeatable. Lessons focus on improving consistency, understanding basic ball flight, and learning how different clubs work. We’ll also introduce simple drills and practice plans so improvement continues between lessons. By the end of the third lesson, most beginners feel more comfortable making contact, have a clearer idea of what to practice, and feel more confident on the range or course.
