With 22 years of golf experience and 6 years of coaching, I have dedicated my career to helping players refine their skills and maximize their potential on the course. As an assistant golf professional at Trump National Doral and La Gorce Country Club, I’ve had the privilege of teaching and playing alongside individuals from all walks of life—including two U.S. Presidents, senators, Generals, world leaders, professional athletes, billionaire CEOs, and celebrities. Beyond coaching, I’ve also worked as a caddy, guiding players to conquer the course and shoot their lowest scores. I believe that golf is more than just a game—it’s a lifelong journey of improvement, strategy, and enjoyment. My passion lies in teaching and sharing my love for golf with players of all levels, helping them gain confidence, shoot lower scores, and enjoy every round. Coming from a college baseball background, I struggled to transition my baseball swing into a proper golf swing. I knew the power was there, but I lacked the consistency and control needed for golf. Working with Gabe completely changed that. His deep knowledge of swing mechanics and ability to break down the differences between the two sports helped me develop a more efficient, repeatable golf swing without losing the power from my baseball days. As a PGA professional I’m pretty well versed in golf. Played a couple rounds with Gabe and his course management helped me shoot a career low. Asked him to caddy for me in a couple tournaments through 2024 and placed better than I had before with his guidance. Beginner training plan
Your first lessonFirst lesson is a basic understanding of golf. Start by assessing level of athleticism and go from there. First thing we’ll learn is how to properly grip the club then move on to the stance and swing. Will start with 1/4 swings and build up from there.
Lesson 11+Start working on chipping, putting and driving and eventually get on course.
Lesson 4-10Start working on full swings and explain different clubs and when to use them.
Lesson 2-3Reinforce the grip and continue 1/4 swings and depending on progression, move on to 1/2 swings to make sure we’re focusing on making solid contact with the ball and building good muscle memory.
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonAssess players level of experience and what areas if any they are struggling with. Focus on what they need help with and move on from there.
Lesson 11+All about Course management and scoring.
Lesson 4-10If we haven’t gotten to on-course lessons yet, we will begin to at this point.
Lesson 2-3If player needs help with swing, we’ll work on the range with different drills depending on what they’re trying to achieve. If prayer is seeking advice on how to score, we will do a playing lesson on course.
Youth players
Working with kidsKids are always the best students and the quickest to pick up the game. At their age, it’s all about finding the joy of the game and enjoying the outdoors and building good habits for the future. Always find it best to get them off the course or range before they get bored and I’m a pretty good gauge of that.
Working with teenagersTeaching teens is more about the mental part of golf. Golf is all about accountability, mental toughness, and how to take all the variables of each shot, make a confident decision on what to do and living with the outcome and move on to the next shot. Most importantly, keeping it fun and engaging because at the end of the day, it’s just a game.
