About your golf coach

I’ve had a passion for competitive golf from an early age, with achievements like winning the Peninsula Country Club Junior Championship in 1999 and holding records at Burlingame Country Club and Harding Park. I was ranked as the No. 1 player on a team with two future U.S. Open competitors and played for the UC Davis golf team in 2001 and 2002. I've trained with over 10 PGA professionals and attended the prestigious Jim McLean National Junior Summer Academy. With over three years of teaching junior golf, I love working with beginners and young players, while also running my own business, FORE Golf Towels.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonThe basics! Make sure we start on the right track with understanding proper stance, ball position, grip and goals. Then we can review where the swing is and what areas we need to work on. Take a video for reference.
Lesson 11+Consistency, better score in and more distance with fluidity.
Lesson 4-10Here is where we could start to look into things like short game, put in and more advanced techniques like knockdown shots, and overall approach to the golf game. Can also start to talk about on course play, scoring and start to grasp when they are doing something right to be able to adjust on their own.
Lesson 2-3Here we can review the basics, and start honing in on a few important swing changes to make the biggest impact. Give some HW and some notes to reference.
Youth players
Working with kidsStart with the basics, let them have a little fun while making progress to a solid foundation
Working with teenagersMake sure the core; grip, stance, ball position are in place and work to getting through to a solid finish.
