How it works

Beginner training plan

Your first lessonWe will cover basics such as how to hold the golf club properly, proper posture, and the 3 basic components of the golf swing: backswing, downswing, and follow through. My favorite drill is the “no look” drill which introduces the student to the importance of keeping their head down and still through and after contact with the short chip shot and putt.

Lesson 11+After 10 lessons a beginner student will be able to play 9 holes of golf, successfully advancing the golf ball towards the target with consistency, hitting shots both low and high and generating proper back spin on the golf ball.

Lesson 4-10Lessons 4-10 will establish comfort hitting all 14 clubs in the golf bag, making consistent repeatable contact with the golf ball.

Lesson 2-3A beginner can expect to be able to make a repeatable short swing and putt making consistent contact with the golf ball, advancing it adequately towards the target.

Advanced training plan

Your first lessonWe will discuss tendencies, highlight strengths, and target improvement areas to meet the students specific goals. Video will be used to compare and analyze subtle changes in angles and body positions. The student will be challenged to break out of the comfort zone to encourage growth and new discoveries.

Lesson 11+We will review the fitness program of the player and suggest new exercises and or nutrition and dietary plans. We will establish clarity in our purpose for playing golf and find peace with our role within the game. Planning for golf trips and opportunities to network using golf as the catalyst.

Lesson 4-10Equipment review will ensure there are no gaps in between clubs. Perhaps making changes if necessary. Discussions on putting technique and optimization of pure forward roll. Various grip styles. Controlling ball flight/trajectory and spin. Finding more length off the tee by optimizing inertia into the club head during the swing. Understanding how to play in various course conditions.

Lesson 2-3Specifics such as ball speed, spin rate, launch angles will be discussed and targets set to optimize these aspects. Fine tuning short game techniques. Developing a strategy of course management before and during the round. Overcoming obstacles and minimizing problems.
