I’ve been playing golf for over 40 years and currently hold a 7 handicap, with my lowest being a remarkable 1! Though I played baseball in college and didn’t compete in college golf, my passion for the game has only grown. For the past 10 years, I’ve been coaching private one-on-one lessons, and I truly love helping others improve their skills and enjoy the game as much as I do.

I have golfed for about 5 years!! I met Coach Cory in Alaska, he is an incredible fishing guide in the summer up here!! We became friends and went golfing a few times together!!! I was blown away how good he was at the game!! As we played he began Coaching me and helping me is all parts of the game!! What a wonderful coach he is!! He not only helped me with my swing but he also helped me to read putts and get a feel for distance!! I would highly recommend him as a fishing guide and a golf coach!!

Coach Cory is so incredible to watch hit the golf ball!! What is more impressive is how much he knows about the game of golf! After watching me hit the ball about 5 times he was able to identify and make adjustments to my horrible golf swing!! He has helped me improve so much in so many areas of my game!! I am good friends with Coach Cory and he took me golfing when I had never played golf before!! He had me hitting the ball consistently the very first time I picked up a golf club!! Coach Cory is a great coach!! He started coaching me about 10 years ago and I was horrible at golf!! I am now a 10 handicap and can consistently shoot in the 80s!!! Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWith my first lesson with a beginner I make sure to get to know them by asking them questions!! I then hit a few balls at the driving range to show them how I can strike the ball!! Then I let them hit some balls!! I then work on the grip of the club and the swing!! After they hit more balls I take them to the putting green and teach them the correct putting stroke!!! Making sure they are having fun and smiling!!!
Lesson 11+Starting to play a few holes on the course!!! Give you some drills to practice at home!!!
Lesson 4-10More hitting balls on the range and putting on the putting green!! Starting to chip in the practice area at every lesson now!!!
Lesson 2-3I continue to help them on the driving range with their grip and swing!! We then spend time putting on the putting green!!!
Youth players
Working with kidsI have worked with many kids including my two daughters and have taught them both to be very good young golfers!! I started them both out around 2 years old!! I make sure that they first of all have fun!! I make learning very simple and fun for kids!! I teach them how to make contact with the ball and then work on hitting the ball straight consistently!! I also teach them how to putt and make the ball into the hole!! I start them out with very short putts and keep it simple!! Once they get a good putting stroke then we work on distance and feel!! Most of all I make learning fun for kids!!
Working with teenagersWhen teaching teenagers how to golf I work with their swing first!! Once I develop a consistent swing and grip I help them become good ball strikers with repetition!! I also make sure they have fun while being coached!! I will also teach them a good and simple putting stroke!! Once I get their stoke consistent I work on feel and distance!! Then I teach them how to read the greens and make sure they understand which way the ball will break!! I have some very fun putting games and drills that they can practice at home! Once again I make sure they have fun!!!
