The first session focuses on evaluation and foundation. We assess the athlete’s stance, movement patterns, ball security, footwork, coordination, and overall football IQ. I also learn how the athlete learns best. From there, we introduce core running back fundamentals while setting expectations, goals, and a development plan tailored to the athlete’s age, experience, and position needs.
Training becomes highly individualized and performance-driven. Sessions focus on refining strengths, correcting remaining weaknesses, and preparing the athlete for live competition. Athletes work on advanced reads, situational football, durability, confidence, and consistency. The goal is complete running back development that translates directly to game day performance.
Athletes progress into more advanced skill development and game-speed execution. Training includes vision and patience, change of direction, contact balance, burst through the hole, pass protection fundamentals, and catching routes out of the backfield. Sessions are intentionally challenging and adjusted weekly to push growth while reinforcing proper technique and decision-making.
Sessions two and three begin building consistency in fundamentals. Athletes will work on proper footwork, pad level, ball security, and basic reads while improving comfort and confidence in their movement. Drills become more structured, with an emphasis on technique, balance, and learning how skills translate to real game situations.
