Beginner training plan
Your first lessonThe first lesson is all about getting to know the athlete! Drills are not position specific but athlete specific. I will focus on flexibility, speed, the ability to understand & demonstrate drills, and their mental performance under various challenges.
Lesson 4-10Let’s get position ready! Throughout these workouts our mental state and physical ability will be put on show. With a mixture of direction and reflection athletes will work through their drills but also discuss where they can improve, what they did well, and what may be seen as limiting factors in the game. The mental part of the game is imperative and required to be a true ball player and human beyond the game.
Lesson 2-3Conditioning is the focus. If you cannot last through running drills and the field how do you expect to perform in a four quarter game? Drills will include change of direction, footwork, sprints, and more. Will introduce the football and position specific drills by lesson 3 (linebackers & running backs)
