First Lesson is an evaluation lesson.
We will complete basic QB assessments in three primary categories:
1- static throwing mechanics
2- moving throwing mechanics
3- offensive and defensive knowledge in general, and specifically for the team you will play for.
I will customize these sessions to meet your, or your athletes, specific needs as identified in the first lesson.
So, lessons 2 and 3 will be centered around more thorough evaluation and training techniques designed to embolden performance in areas in need of improvement. We will also reinforce areas where you, or your athlete excel and begin work on understanding basic defensive coverages and offensive passing concepts.
Lessons 4-10 are where much growth will take place. Incorporating various training techniques and passing concepts, these lessons will start to apply what we are learning, to the specific style of offense that you, or your athlete, will be responsible for running for their team, from the QB position.
If you or your athlete have access to your playbook, I encourage you to bring it to the training sessions. This will allow us to communicate effectively in the language of your program.
Complete mastery of their offense, as well as general offensive pass and run strategies, against various defensive alignments that they may face.
This mastery, and the confidence that is developed in the process, is a key part of getting you, or your athlete prepared to excel at the next level of play.
First lessons at any level, begin with a thorough evaluation of your, or your athletes specific needs, throwing mechanics, body awareness, and ability to throw from different platforms. That is, static throws, throwing on the move, throwing on the run, throwing from under center, throwing from shotgun l, pocket presence and decision making.
Lessons 2 & 3, get more detailed training focused on strengthening any uncovered challenges revealed in lesson 1.
The mental component of playing QB is also brought to bear in these lessons through various methods to challenge you or your athleteβs ability to focus on details while making good football decisions.
Lessons 4-10 are designed specifically to incorporate learning techniques from lessons 3 and 4, into specific training sessions designed around your, or your athleteβs current offensive systems.
These sessions build unshakable confidence and knowledge on how to effectively run your, or your athleteβs offense at a high football IQ level.
Lessons 11 and beyond, create unlimited quarterback growth opportunities for you, or your athlete.
There is no substitute for game simulated reputations, and quarterback honing skills, that these lessons will provide.
With mastery of the essential QB skills obtained in previous lessons, here is where you, or your QB, will bring those successful lessons to fruition, in a pressured environment that will mimic game scenarios as closely as possible.
Here is where you, or your athlete reinforces their ability to run an offense with confidence, leadership and poise, because they have put in the hard work to successfully be QB1.
