The one strength that Mr. Ortiz possesses that is important to any educational institution is his commitment to the young men and the school. The other trait that makes him a viable asset to your Team is his willingness to work hard, help others and bring professionalism and integrity to the program. Mr. Ortiz also serves as a mentor to young men in his spare time to give back to the kids in the community. More importantly, not only does Mr. Ortiz teach them football, but he also teaches them life skills. He interacts with a lot of kids that do not have that father figure at home. Mr. Ortiz fills that void and supports those kids on and off the field. Remember he does all of this despite having two kids of his own at home to raise. During the off season and over the summer he constantly checks on them and periodically administer conditioning workouts with the young men. When there is work that needs to be performed around his home, he brings them over on Saturday and Sunday to perform landscaping duties. Not only is he teaching them valuable skills, but he is showing them how to make money and acquire the knowledge to manage their own business when they get older. Mr. Ortiz pays each kid at the end of the day and feeds them. As you can see his passion and obligation to these kids extend well beyond the football field. Mr. Ortiz does much more in order to make a difference in their life. If our community’s had more individuals like Mr. Ortiz, the world would be a lot better off. It is imperative that educational institutions such as yours continue to support gentlemen like Mr. Ortiz who is performing duties that make a difference in his life and the life of others. As you are a where, each kid faces a different challenge in life and having the diversity to adapt to al situations is important. If giving the opportunity, I am confident that Mr. Ortiz will become a valuable asset to your educational institution immediately. Mr. David Ortiz is a terrific man and believe me I would not be writing this letter on his behalf if he was not. We all are faced with different challenges in our lives before achieving success. Facing those challenges head on and continuing to pursue ones dream is the correct approach. Mr. Ortiz just cleared a major hurdle when he decided to exhaust all resources to become a member of the Saint Brendan family. I am proud to say he is my friend, and I must pay homage to Mr. Ortiz for being that pillar in the community that is willing to impact kids from all walks of life. Ambition is defined as a strong desire to achieve. I have had the pleasure of knowing Mr. David Ortiz for the past 3 years and he has always continued to dream and pursue a career in coaching at the high school level. Being granted the opportunity to work with the young men at Saint Brendan High School will fulfil his dream.
