Met Coach Corders at Nike Football Camp my freshman year. Saw him providing instruction to WR/DB group. The way he was able to communicate what to do and illustrate how to execute various skills was extraordinary. Asked him to train me. Ironically, he coached football at my school, Metrolina Christian Academy. We trained 2-3/week and wide receiver skills, speed & agility along with strength and conditioning. Beginner training plan
Your first lessonAssess the individual's level of fitness, current skills and knowledge of the sport and position played.
Lesson 11+Increase the level of output from the beginning sessions. Will also complete a fitness/ sport super bowl or combine to measure growth/development.
Lesson 4-10Continue to add skill development each session, each repetition as well as specific sport/position instruction and how they translate to the playing field, court. Ongoing assessment performed to ensure understanding, development.
Lesson 2-3Begin to stress a lot of the skills necessary for success in their sport, position played.
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonAssess current skill level and begin construction of training regime.
Lesson 11+By this juncture, individual should be able to work at game pace. Efforts will gear towards doing everything as if the individual were in game competition.
