Beginner training plan
Your first trainingFirst I want to see what they know and how they move so we start with stance and backpedal
Training 2-3After knowing what they know and how they move we then go slow in correcting the issues of any and buildings on those so for example if they have a smooth backpedal but lack any hip flexibility or movements I will focus the next two lessons on hip movements such as flips and hurdle workouts
Training 4-10By the 4-10 lessons they will have already went through a weeks worth of training so now we build on what we have established and speed it up so it becomes fluid and now we start to get into muscle memory
Advanced training plan
Your first trainingWhere do you feel you need improvement in? Then from there we come up with a plan to get better at just that advanced or high level athletes the main thing is maintenance so we want to ensure your keeping your tools well oiled and not losing any fundamentals
Youth players
Working with kidsTalk to the parents to see where they may be lacking and go from there but again it’s all about what they feel most comfortable doing as far as fundamentals
