Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWe will begin with introductions. Then we will learn the basic parts of the instrument and how to read the music. We may also learn a few beginning notes.
Lesson 2-3We will start by reviewing the materials learned during the first lessons. We will then cover the different types of notes, volumes, and potentially learn more notes.
Lesson 4-10We will begin with review from the past few lessons to make sure that the knowledge is being retained. We will then begin to learn melodies and time signatures.
Lesson 11+The remaining lessons will be majority review from everything we learned. We will practice basic songs and they will be questioned on basic knowledge.
Working with kids
My material will be more generalized and easier for children to follow. More time will be taken to ensure that the material is being processed.
