Beginner training plan
Your first lessonOur first lesson will mostly be a get to know you session! I will ask the student what their goals are and what they wish to achieve through tutoring with me, then set up a goal plan for the rest of the sessions.
Lesson 2-3Based on what the student wishes to achieve, I will provide various writing exercises and lessons on grammar, rhetoric, writing styles, formatting, and perfecting the “academic Voice”.
Lesson 4-10This will vary depending on each student, but expect to have a short paper of 3 to 4 pages written by this time based on a prompt that I will provide.
Lesson 11+If the student wishes to better understand, research skills, our final lessons will be focused on writing up a work cited page, drafting a research paper and best practices for college-level research.

Working with teenagersHigh school years are formative - and writing is no exception. I meet students where they are in terms of their academic ability and help them improve their writing so they can master this art and resist the need to rely on AI as a crutch.
