About your english coach
I am a certified TESOL instructor with a Bachelors degree in English as a Second Language. I also minored in Film and Japanese. I primarily work with adult English Language Learners developing the skills necessary to thrive in their respective workplaces, but am comfortable working with younger students as well. All levels welcome. We'll spend our first session identifying your goals and creating a plan to achieve them. I look forward to working with you!

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonIn the first session, we will discuss your language goals and map out a plan to achieve them. I'll then ask you to complete an assessment. Don't worry, its not a test! It's just to inform me about where you are at in your journey so I can craft the best lessons I can for your needs.
Lesson 2-3This might look a little different depending on your specific needs. Based on the assessment and our conversations, I'll select a 'big picture' topic that is relevant to your goals. For example, if you want to work on workplace English and professionalism, we might start by discussing how formality works. By the third lesson we'd be diving into the grammar concepts behind formality and exploring how and why they work.
Lesson 4-10By the fourth lesson we'll be doing practice exercises, such as roleplays, writing assignments, readings, video responses, etc. With each new topic, we'll reset. We'll start by discussing the concept, move on to exploring strategies, and then practice using the new skill.
Lesson 11+Language learning is all about consistency. Ongoing lessons will continue to introduce new concepts and increasing the complexity of exercises, challenging you to continously learn and grow your language skills.
