Beginner training plan
Your first lessonDiscuss the student’s goals and reasons for taking the lessons. An introduction to sticking and music notation for rhythm.
Lesson 11+The introduction of two basic music styles: rock and Latin-style. Learning a song to play fully (student’s choice).
Lesson 4-10Continuing the development of sticking and sight reading exercises. Introduction to listening skills to analyze beats in music.
Lesson 2-3Reviewing lesson 1, and beginning rudiment exercises.
Advanced training plan
Youth players
Working with kidsThe goal is to teach basic coordination and have the ability to play with a track.
Working with teenagersOverall lesson structure will be applied to teenagers. Coordination and rhythm are the priority.
What you need to bringDrum sticks, and an open mind.
What I can bringI am able to provide a practice drum pad and drum sticks for the lessons. If the full drum kit is required, it would have to be an at-home lesson.
