Beginner training plan
Your first lessonHow to take care of equipment and how to use a reed.
Lesson 2-3Playing on the mouthpiece and barrel, focusing on tongue position and embouchure.
Lesson 4-10Playing on whole instrument, learning fingerings, and building basic technique.
Lesson 11+Learning basic melodies that will improve technique.

Advanced training plan
Your first lessonThe first lesson I will have the student go over their previous repertoire and technical patterns they have learned. Then, we will choose music to work on based on their skill level and goals.
Lesson 2-3We will work on challenging music, as well as go over music theory principles that will improve them as an overall musician.
Lesson 4-10We will continue building repertoire, and identify any holes in technique. We will come up with future lesson plans based on skill level and goals, and continue from there.
Lesson 11+Ultimately, with an advanced player, my job will be helping to build skills for a successful musician, not just a clarinetist. I will teach practice methods and the subtleties of the music business.

Youth players
Working with kidsFor kids, I will teach music that will build technique, as well as teach music that they will enjoy and grow their passion for playing. Learning how to play the Harry Potter theme was the highlight of my 6th grade year, and I want to give that same feeling to students.

Working with teenagersIf a student is in a school band program, we will work on learning their music for school, as well as music that will improve fundamental skills.

What you need to bringA clarinet, of course, as well as a box of reeds (i recommend Dโ€™Addario Classic Reserve strength 2.5 for beginners), and a swab

What I can bringI can provide sheet music, and other equipment for instrument maintenance outside of a swab.

She helped me play my region music on bass clarinet
Vivianna
Chloe taught me that music is a collaboration, not a competition. Itโ€™s fun to learn music and play it with people without comparing myself to them.
