Your first lessonIn my first lesson plan I learn about the student, their background in chess, what they are hoping to get out of the lessons, what are their goals, and I also look at some of their games to get a better understanding of how they play chess.
Lesson 2-3More games together and some puzzles also, work on training how student makes decision making
Lesson 4-10Tailored puzzles, opening training and recommendations for improvement,
Lesson 11+Study and review games, work on tailored tactics designed to improve their weaknesses in chess, also work on adding to opening repertoire and making it stronger, will also teach how to improve calculation, determine candidate moves, and how to evaluate positions accurately, also work on endgame fundamentals.
Advanced training plan
What you need to bringJust yourself. For in-person lessons, the chess set is covered. A laptop or tablet is helpful for online sessions, and a free Chess.com or Lichess account is useful for homework puzzles and tracking progress between lessons.
What I can bring Chess set and board provided for in-person lessons. Puzzles and study materials shared digitally. Online sessions use Lichess or Chess.com (both free).
