Beginner training plan
Your first lessonThe first lesson will be a fun getting to know each other and introduction to stretches to avoid injuries, and an introduction to the basics as well.
Lesson 11+We’ll move into light sparring to build comfort and confidence. This is often when students start asking deeper questions about the sport, so they’re encouraged to ask anything that comes to mind.
Lesson 4-10After warming up with shadow boxing or jump rope, we’ll jump into an intense pad work session designed to sharpen technique and build endurance.
Lesson 2-3We’ll start with a quick warm-up, then sharpen the fundamentals. From there, I’ll blend skill development with a focused workout for a well-rounded session.

Youth players
Working with kidsWhen coaching kids, I focus on making the lessons fun, engaging, and high-energy so they enjoy the process while still learning real skill and discipline. I use games and playful drills to keep their attention, but every activity is designed to build coordination, confidence, and respect. My goal is to create a positive environment where kids look forward to training, while slowly instilling focus, structure, and martial arts fundamentals in a way that feels natural and exciting for them.

Working with teenagersWith teens, I strike a balance between structure and challenge. I treat them with respect, push them to improve, and make sure they feel seen and heard. I mix in technical drills, sparring (when appropriate), and real-world applications so they stay engaged and motivated. Teenagers want to feel capable and independent, so I focus on helping them build skill, confidence, and discipline while also keeping the sessions dynamic and rewarding. I make it clear that effort and consistency are what lead to real progress both in and out of the gym.
