The first lesson will focus on introducing the athlete to the fundamentals of beach volleyball while also evaluating their current skill level. Players will learn proper movement in the sand, basic passing technique, setting fundamentals, serving mechanics, and communication skills. Drills will include passing, target passing, footwork exercises, and serving repetitions. The goal of the first lesson is to build confidence, improve comfort in the sand, and create a strong foundation of basic skills.
Lessons eleven and beyond will focus on advanced skill development and competitive performance. Sessions will be fully tailored to the athleteβs goals, position, and playing style while continuing to strengthen technique, game strategy, mental toughness, and consistency under pressure. Athletes will participate in high-level drills, situational gameplay, and competitive training designed to help them perform confidently in tournament and match settings. The goal of these lessons is to help athletes maximize their potential and compete at the highest level possible.
Lessons four through ten will focus on building advanced fundamentals and applying skills in game-like situations. Athletes will work on defensive reading, shot selection, transition offense, serving strategy, communication, and court awareness. Training sessions will include competitive drills, live gameplay, and conditioning exercises designed to improve confidence, consistency, and volleyball IQ. Individual feedback will continue to help athletes refine their technique and decision-making.
Lessons two and three will focus on improving ball control, consistency, and movement around the court. Athletes will continue developing their passing and setting while learning defensive movement and basic attacking shots. Players will participate in drills that emphasize moving to the ball, communication, and maintaining control during rallies. These sessions are designed to help athletes become more comfortable playing at game speed while improving their overall court awareness and confidence.
