I’m Wayne Mendezona, Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Corban University and founder of Quick Handle Basketball. I’ve spent over 30+ years developing athletes and have trained more than 50,000 players—from youth to college and professional levels. I specialize in ball handling, scoring, and game performance—helping athletes build confidence, decision-making, and real in-game results. My training is not just drills—it’s about developing complete players who can perform under pressure, think the game, and separate themselves from the competition. I don’t train average. I train athletes who are serious about growth, discipline, and competing at a higher level. If that’s you, let’s get to work.

## Reviews

> My son, who is entering 6th grade, had the opportunity to train with Coach Wayne. As he progressed, you could see immediate improvement in shooting, ball handling, mechanics, and mentality. Coach stresses getting the “small things” right, things that coaches notice that a spectator doesn’t. This has had an immediate impact on my son and the way he approaches the game of basketball. Coach Wayne’s training will be an integral part of my son’s basketball journey going forward. Cannot recommend Coach Wayne enough.

> My training session with Coach Mendo (Wayne) was excellent. The session was well organized-- he was able to quickly assess my current abilities and areas for growth, and then ran me through a number skill building excercises. By the end of the first session I could tell that my dribbling skills were much improved and he gave me specific advice on how to improve my shot. His coaching style is positive and direct and I look forward to our future training sessions.

> Coach Mendo is amazing! He has such a gift with players and parents alike. He is a master coach who refines the players on every level. He teaches the kids skills, mindset, and the ability to play at their next higher level. He is detail-oriented and sees the small things that make a big difference.

> My son said Coach Mendo was far and away the most effective coach he's ever worked with! His knowledge, tools, and willingness to share wisdom are incredible. I've never seen my son so impressed by a coach or heard him so enthusiastic about what he learned in a session. Very grateful!
