Advanced training plan
Your first lessonThis first lesson for advanced players includes high-speed, two-ball, or counter-dribbling drills, "stop and pop" mid-range shooting, complex finishing techniques, and mastering pick-and-roll reads
Lesson 11+With the remaining sessions, you will learn how to protect the Ball using a "smash" dribble (hard last dribble) to get close to the rim, and protect the ball by keeping it on the opposite side of the body from the defender.
along with Variable Finishes which includes Mastering the Nash dribble (escape), reverse layups, and Euro steps to navigate through high-level rim protection
Lesson 4-10Lessons 4 through 10 will contain different game conditionings including "cup slides" and full-court drills to build endurance for high-paced play.
Lesson 2-3Lessons 2 & 3 include complex ball-handling combinations, advanced finishing techniques such as Euro-step variations, high-level shooting off movement, and specialized defensive techniques like active close-outs
Youth players
Working with kidsI plan to adapt my lessons when working with kids by prioritizing fun, breaking skills into short, engaging games, and using smaller, manageable equipment
Working with teenagersI will adapt my lessons with teenagers by focusing on structured, 60-90 minute practices featuring skill-specific drills such as pound dribbles, layup variations and more. Combined with 5v5 scenarios and competitive, small-sided games to keep them motivated.
