Beginner training plan
Your first lessonYou will first learn what your responsibility is with this training. You must have Commitment, Discipline, Hard Work and Concentration. You must disciplined enough to work on thinks you learned on your own. You will not get better on 2-3 sessions per week, you must work on your craft consistently if you want to get better.
You will learn drills depending on the position you play. This is not limited to size, just because you are certain height does not mean you have be confined to that position.
More importantly, each session will take what it takes to develop that particular skill. Some lessons will be continuous until you I see improvement on that skill.
Lesson 4-10Depending on your position you will learn perimeter play, individual moves, post.
Your will learn all areas of guard, forward and center position.
A player who can develop in all areas of the game will be most valuable when being recruited.
We then move to post play, a player who has a more height should learn how to play the low post.
Footwork Drills
To enhance your footwork shop and foot speed. We will also work on your defense
Strength & Conditioning
Lesson 2-3You will learn dribbling and ball handling. You will learn how to dribble the with both least and right hand. You will learn how to dribble behind your back, between the leg, cross over dribble etc.
you also passing drills to become a better passer.
Again, it will take as long as it takes become a better passer.
Then we will move to shooting .
Form shooting make sure you have the proper shooting form.
Jump shooting, you will improve in your jump shot for mid-range shooting and 3pt range.
Lay-ups, reverse lay-ups and floaters.
You will learn how to shoot a the off the dribble and catch and shoot.
