Beginner training plan
Your first trainingLet them tell me what they have learnt so far and I use that to access their skill level.
Training 2-3Teaching the game without the ball to allow them learn the rules if they haven’t yet.
Training 4-10Ball work and some ball handling workout. Teaching them how to dribble, pass, court vision and being a good team mate
Training 11+Extended ball work and more of game situations workout and shooting drills
Youth players
Working with kidsFirst of all working with kids is a different ball game because you must learn how to read the kids level of concentration and also make sure you don’t push to hard and also not being to soft. Working with my eight year old has thought me this skills
Working with teenagersWith the teenager is a little different because at this stage they are already in a state where you can take them into a little bit of not intense advance skills workout and more ball handling and game situations drills.
