Beginner training plan
Your first lessonGo over the basic fundamental skills of basketball, including dribbling with both hands, shooting form, and layups.
Lesson 11+At this point, we will continue progressing to more advanced skills. Working on shooting off the dribble, more advanced dribbling drills, and working on reverse layups/floaters
Lesson 4-10Continue to extend shooting range with similar form and create a consistent motion. Progress to more advanced ball handling skills. Begin practicing layups with a defender applying pressure to the shot
Lesson 2-3Refine shooting form to be able to extend farther away from the basket. Continue practicing ball handling and layups until ready to move to more advanced skills.

Advanced training plan
Your first lessonThe first lesson will be used to identify strengths and weaknesses, and what the player needs to work on. Specifically looking at skill around shooting, ball handing, and finishing
Lesson 11+Remaining lessons will be more hyper focused on specific skills needed to get the player to the level they desire.
Lesson 4-10We will continue refining the skills worked on in lessons 1-3 and progress into more advanced drills in each of the areas.
Lesson 2-3We will work on specific skills that can get the player to the next level. If they are a good shooter we will work on shooting off the dribble and being able to get a shot off under pressure. For ball handling, we will go through an assortment of advanced drills that will challenge the player on the move. Finishing skills will be put the test by an array of different moves around the basket.

Youth players
Working with kidsI adapt my lessons to kids by making sure they are having fun while still working hard. The drill I use you can see progressive improvement in the more you practice them and are very rewarding for both player and coach. In the first session I make sure I know what the player is looking for out of their basketball journey

Working with teenagersWith teenagers it is even more important to determine wha their goals are with basketball. I enjoy working with all level of players so I can mold my drills to help them get to the level they desire.

What you need to bringI will provide equipment, just bring basketball shoes!

What I can bringBasketball’s, cones, anything else needed for drills.
