About your basketball coach
I have been playing basketball for 30 years. I don't have the traditional journey of a basketball player. I wasn't given the chance. However, that never stopped me from sharpening my skills over the years by playing with and against better competition. Everything I learned was self-taught through repetition and observation. If you want to be a well-rounded basketball player, look no further than right here!

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonFundamentals including shooting mechanics, defensive positions, and screen usage.
Lesson 11+Overall development of effective dribbling, footwork in triple threat situations, and counters to different types of defenders.
Lesson 4-10Footwork in different scenarios with focus on 1-2 go to moves.
Lesson 2-3Improvement on shooting mechanics and defensive awareness on and off the ball
Youth players
Working with kidsWith pre teen athletes the focus will be more on the fundamental side, so they understand the basics of how their movements work.
Working with teenagersWith teenagers, they tend to have a better grasp of their movement depending on experience. I would still focus on fundamentals before adding more advanced skills.
