Hi, I’m Kelsie, and basketball has been a huge part of my life for over 20 years! I’ve played everywhere from local courts to traveling across the Northeast—competing in Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and New York. The game has taught me so much about teamwork, leadership, and perseverance, and I’m passionate about sharing those lessons with others. As a coach, I’ve worked with a boys’ 14U AAU team, coached through I9 Sports, and offered private lessons to players of all ages. Whether it’s fine-tuning shooting mechanics, building court awareness, or boosting confidence, I love helping athletes take their game to the next level while having fun along the way. Beginner training plan
Your first lessonIn the first lesson, I focus on building a connection with the player while assessing their skills. We’ll start with a warm-up and some light ball-handling drills, followed by basic shooting and footwork exercises. This helps me understand their current level and tailor future lessons. I also make it fun and relaxed to build their confidence and get them excited about the process.
Lesson 11+At this stage, the focus shifts to refining their skills and preparing them for competitive play. We’ll work on advanced offensive and defensive strategies, endurance training, and fine-tuning their overall game. Each lesson is designed to push their limits while keeping the sessions engaging and rewarding.
Lesson 4-10During these lessons, we work on consistency and game readiness. We’ll incorporate advanced drills for ball control, shooting under pressure, and defensive skills. Scrimmage scenarios and challenges will help build their decision-making and confidence in real-game situations. Progress will be tracked to ensure they’re meeting their goals.
Lesson 2-3These sessions dive deeper into fundamentals like dribbling, passing, and shooting technique. We’ll focus on improving weak areas while introducing game-like drills. This is also when we begin setting individual goals based on their strengths and ambitions, whether it’s mastering layups, enhancing court awareness, or building endurance.

We totally understand that life can be unpredictable and plans might change. That's why we've got your back with our flexible cancellation policy, designed to give you peace of mind when booking private sports lessons with our awesome local instructors!

If you need to cancel your lesson, no worries! You can get a full refund if you cancel within 24 hours of making your booking. We want to make the process as hassle-free as possible for you.

And if you simply want to reschedule your lesson, change the date and time, or adjust the number of students joining, we've got you covered there too. You can easily make these changes within 24 hours of booking, and up to 72 hours before your lesson starts.
