The first lesson is all about building confidence and establishing a strong foundation. We evaluate the player’s current skill level, athletic ability, and basketball IQ while introducing proper shooting mechanics, ball handling fundamentals, footwork, and defensive stance. Our goal is to create a fun, encouraging environment where every player leaves more confident than when they arrived.
Players begin reinforcing the fundamentals learned in Lesson 1 while adding new skills through repetition and game-like drills. Focus areas include ball handling under pressure, finishing around the basket, passing, shooting consistency, defensive movement, and decision-making. Confidence and consistency become the primary goals during this stage.
As players become more comfortable with the fundamentals, training becomes more challenging and game-specific. Players will improve their shooting, develop advanced dribble moves, learn how to create scoring opportunities, read defenders, and compete in live game situations. Conditioning, basketball IQ, and overall confidence continue to grow with each session.
Training is personalized to the player’s goals and areas for improvement. Sessions focus on refining skills, increasing game speed, improving decision-making, and preparing players to perform confidently in real games. Whether the goal is making a school team, excelling in AAU, or simply becoming a better player, each lesson is designed to help athletes reach their full potential through consistent, high-quality instruction.
