I randomly met Grant in a 24 hour fitness, he came in the gym and hit 30 straight 3s directly after a heavy lift. My dad went and got his contact information to train with him. I had only played ball for 3 years at this point and it wasn't in America. He trained me for about 2-3 weeks and taught me the essential building blocks to really stack days. I also ended up making the roster for one of the best high schools in the nation.

I started working with G a couple summers back when we were both in town. I was simply a spot up shooter and could do a little of catching of the move and shooting. He elevated my game to coming off pick and rolls, seeing the floor, and also adding a lot of new "wiggle" to my game. Beginner training plan

Your first lessonTry to realistically understand where they are currently at, skill wise. Ask them where they want to be and if they have created a plan. I will either adjust the plan accordingly or create a new one!

Lesson 11+They can expect to begin walking in the path they created with confidence! They will start to feel the necessary changes and improvements, this will be an exciting time for them

Advanced training plan

Your first lessonThe same way I would with any player, see where they are at physically and mentally with the sport. We can adjust from there through film and seeing their playstyle

Lesson 11+We will continue growing. At this point we will have a great connection and can really push each other in ways that can only make us both better. We can target the super fine details to situations and we can potentially introduce other advanced players to go against!

Lesson 4-10They will begin excelling in the first aspect of their game that they wished to become better in. We will start to introduce the more advanced situations for their play-style and the opportunity they are given on the court

Lesson 2-3A truly advanced player will already know where they need to improve. Sometimes they need expert direction alongside their expertise. I am excellent at teaching the small things that make a huge difference I’m having the competitive edge or not against your opponent

Youth players

Working with kidsEach person I train is respective, I can’t approach every player the same. Therefore I must understand their current skill level, what they wish to succeed and how they plan on doing it. If they do not have that yet then I will help begin that process during the training sessions.

About your basketball coach

With over 25 years of basketball playing experience, I cultivated my own skills and passion. I wasn't training with fancy trainers, I was simply putting the work in needed. This "back against the wall" mentality led me to division 1 basketball and playing professionally overseas for 6 years. When injuries took over, I began training aspiring pros coming out of college with no contract. I focused on the building of two players and both ended up getting contracts overseas. I train high school and middle school kids as well, but they must have a deep passion to get better. My focus is on personalized training to elevate each player's game in the respective ways needed for the individual. I bring seriousness, passion, planning, execution and expertise to a commitment of helping young aspiring hoopers excel.
