About your basketball coach
I started playing competitive basketball at 12 years old. I played four years of high school varsity basketball and three years of college basketball. My career as a player ended due to several ACL tears. I began coaching in 2007 and I have coach both girls and boys basketball on on every level from 10 year olds to high varsity.

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonBeginner training starts with basic hand-eye coordination, footwork drills, ball handling with footwork, form shooting and shooting on the move with correct footwork.
Lesson 11+From here all terminology should be second nature with fluid motions, adding and using more ball handling skills that allow more options for shooting.
Lesson 4-10Now we learn to space the floor with others players on the floor. IQ becomes a focus with more advanced shooting and ball handling.
Lesson 2-3Defense will be introduced, along with moving without the ball. The players will also begin to learn where to go on the court, why, when to and how to attack a defense.

What you need to bringStudents will need a basketball Yoel, and water. Basketball shoes are preferred but shows with good grip are essential.
What I can bringBesides basketballs, I use cones, ladders, jump ropes, dumb bells, heavy balls, and resistance ropes during my trainings.
