Edrico (or RJ as I know him) was one of the most athletic and passionate guys on our team senior year. He is still one of the most impressive people I know. He not only played basketball and football, but he also excelled academically and was one of the few people in our class to go to an IVY league school. He’s always been very personable and well-liked, and was one of the most popular guys at our school despite not having gone to middle school in our area.

Over the course of the past three years under Coach Oliver's guidance, I have witnessed not only an extraordinary mentor but also a catalyst for advancing our basketball prowess. His dedication to refining our skills, whether it's through personalized attention to dribbling techniques or honing our shooting precision, has undoubtedly elevated our team's performance, making him an invaluable asset to our growth both on and off the court.

I would say that RJ was my most favorited teammate; I was new to the AAU community and doubted my ability to adjust to the speed difference of the game, but RJ took me under his wing and helped me build my confidence. I would describe him as a “no player left behind” kind of player. He was also inspiring to me that his academics were a priority because prior to meeting him I was okay with just getting by because I was a good athlete.

RJ was always dedicated to his craft. He’s one of those teammates you can depend on during workouts, on game day as well in practice. You could honestly never go wrong with RJ around. Always shows up with a smile and open arms, ready to tackle any task that’s handed to him.
