Beginner training plan
Your first lessonOur first basketball training session will focus on assessing your current skill level, building a solid foundation, and establishing trust, accountability and expectations.
Lesson 11+ My focus will be on the shift to mastery, game intelligence, and competitive execution. Players should be refining their skills, increasing their basketball IQ, and preparing for real-game situations and including drills that have been worked on to perfection.
Lesson 4-10My goal would be to continue building consistency, increase intensity to more of game speed, and introduce advanced skills while reinforcing the fundamentals.
Lesson 2-3My approach will be to focus on reinforcing fundamentals, introducing new skills, and gradually increasing intensity, building more muscle and hand memory with the ball.
Youth players
Working with kidsWhen training kids in basketball, I most often simplify concepts, make drills engaging, and focus on fundamentals while keeping it fun to keep them engaged but also disciplined.
Working with teenagersWhen training teenagers in basketball, I need to balance skill development, intensity, and game-like situations while keeping them motivated. Teen players are physically growing, so they need progressive skill work, strength training, and mental toughness development.
